The government is working fast to launch BSNL 5G service. Currently, work is being done to upgrade the 4G network of the government telecom company. BSNL has targeted to set up 1 lakh new mobile towers for this, out of which 65 thousand new 4G mobile towers have been installed. Along with 4G, the exercise to launch 5G has also intensified. For this, foreign vendors for government telecom company 5G network gear can be included in the auction process. A bid of $ 2 billion will be bid for 5G network gear.
5G networks will upgrade rapidly
According to ET Telecom report, sources associated with it say that at present, it is still a final decision to take the final decision. Following this decision, the network upgradation of the government telecom company may accelerate. BSNL has used indigenous technology for 4G service. The company is also focusing on indigenous technology for 5G. However, according to the new report, the government’s decision can be taken to roll out 5G mobile broadband and upgrade the network.
Equipment for BSNL 4G service is being supplied by indigenous Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). According to the report, Sarkara can keep 50 percent of the tender volume of BSNL 5G for indigenous vendors. At the same time, domestic and foreign vendors can participate for 50 percent of Banki. BSNL can install 70 thousand to 1 lakh mobile towers to launch 5G service across the country. The company is preparing to roll out the SA i.e. Stand Alone Network in India.
Decision after telecom advisory meeting
According to the report, the decision to include foreign companies for network gear has been taken after a recent telecom advisory meeting. TCS is upgrading 4G network through Tejas Network and C-DOT in India. Network Gear Tejas is supplying network for 4G service. At the same time, core network solution is being provided through C-DOT. At the same time, the task of TCS is to integrate the system.
