Tri series matches will be held in Karachi and Lahore
Now the tri-series matches will be held in Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore and National Stadium of Karachi. Pakistan Cricket Board has said in its press release that PCB has done this in view of the excellent preparation phase at Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium. The special thing is that Champions Trophy matches are also to be held in both the stadiums of Lahore and Karachi. For this reason these stadiums are being renovated. By organizing international matches in Lahore and Karachi, PCB wants to show that the stadiums are almost completely ready and most of the work has been completed.
Karachi was to host a Test match in the Test series against England, but due to the Champions Trophy, renovation work was going on there. Then Pakistan Cricket Board got that test conducted in Multan. Pakistani team has to play a two-Test series against West Indies this month. Both these tests will also be held in Multan only.
Improvement work going on in three stadiums of Pakistan
Important renovation work has been done in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi stadiums of Pakistan in connection with the Champions Trophy. An ICC tournament is going to be held in Pakistan after almost 30 years. For this reason, Pakistan Cricket Board does not want to leave any stone unturned. The spectator capacity of Lahore’s stadium has been increased to 35,000. Apart from this, two modern LED lights have also been installed. Two large digital replay screens will also be installed there in the coming weeks. 5000 new chairs have been installed in the stadium of Karachi for the comfort of the spectators. Improvements are also being made in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. These improvements are being made so that these three stadiums can be better than international standards for the upcoming tournament.
