The court has said that the FIR will not be canceled and the police investigation will continue. However, the High Court also ordered that Burke will not be arrested at present, but he will have to cooperate in the police investigation. Let us tell you that Uttar Pradesh Police had registered a case against MP Ziaur Rehman Burke on charges of electricity theft at his residence in Deepa Sarai area.

A case was also registered against the MP’s father

Police had said that the MP’s father Mamlukur Rahman Burke has also been booked for threatening government officials during the inspection of the house by the electricity department. A case was registered against the MP under Section 135 (theft of electricity or unauthorized use of electricity) of the Electricity Act, 2003. Mamlukur Rahman Burke was accused of using abusive language, obstructing government work and saying that the government will change and we will destroy you. According to the FIR, Mamlukur Rehman Burke used abusive words, and its video was made by the electricity department.

Bulldozer had run on the stairs outside the house

Let us tell you that the stairs built outside the residence of Ziaur Rahman Burke in Deepa Sarai Mohalla were also demolished with a bulldozer. In Sambhal, a campaign has been going on for several days to remove encroachment from drains in different areas of the city. In this sequence, the stairs of the MP’s residence were demolished with the help of heavy police force. An official said that the electricity department also imposed a fine of Rs 1.91 crore on MP Burke for electricity theft and the electricity supply to his residence was also disconnected. At the same time, Burke had approached the court calling all these allegations false.
