South Africa Cricket Team
Big news is coming from the cricket world. Shukri Konrad has been appointed as the coach of the South Africa cricket team. Shukri Konrad was coaching the Test team since January 2023. Now he has been made the coach of all three formats. Conrad will now coach South Africa team in the White-Ball format from the T20i tri-series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand in July. Cricket South Africa (CSA) gave this information. Cricket South Africa expressed happiness by announcing the appointment of Shukri Conrad as the head coach of all formats of the Mains team.
Conrad’s next major assignment will be the ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia, which will be played on 11–15 June at Lord’s, London. 58 -year -old Conrad ICC Mains World Cup will coach the South African team in all formats by 2027. The 50 over World Cup will be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in 2027.
Busy schedule in front of team
Conrad said on becoming a coach that he was really honored when he was appointed the coach of the team in all three formats. Giving coaching to the Test team has been the biggest good fortune of my cricket journey and now it is incredibly special to maintain the white-ball teams.
He further said that he is really excited about further possibilities. South African cricket has incredible talent. He is confident that the team has everything to achieve success. Further there is a busy schedule, which will begin with the WTC final next month, next year T20 World Cup 2026 and then from our own 50 -over World Cup.
The team will have a great chance
The South Africa cricket team will take on Australia in the final of the World Test Championship next month, it will try to win the WTC title for the first time. However, it will not be easy for the African team to do so against Australia.
