Changes in routes in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram

New Delhi: Traffic advisory has been issued in Delhi, Noida and Gurugram for the Republic Day Parade and ban has been imposed on many roads. In such a situation, if you are planning to go out of the house, then go out after reading the traffic advisory, otherwise you may have to face problems.

Traffic advisory for Delhi?

Due to the Republic Day parade rehearsals, central Delhi has been witnessing huge traffic jams for the past few days and hundreds of commuters were seen stranded on the road for several hours. Many areas of South Delhi were also affected by traffic jams due to the Republic Day parade rehearsal.

Delhi Traffic Police had earlier issued traffic advisories due to the full-dress rehearsal on January 22, the main Republic Day parade rehearsal and the main event on January 26. As per the traffic advisory, the duty road and major roads around Chhatrasal Stadium face congestion. In such a situation, avoid going on these routes.

It is noteworthy that on January 26, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi will hoist the national flag at Chhatrasal Stadium and ministers, MLAs, senior officials are expected to participate in this program. Due to huge crowd gathering, adequate arrangements have been made and traffic advisory has been issued. Commuters are urged to avoid these roads and take alternative routes from 6 am to 1 pm on January 22 (full dress rehearsal) and January 25, 2025, to avoid delays.

Traffic advisory for Gurugram?

A ban has been imposed on the entry of heavy and medium goods vehicles in the city. As per the advisory issued by Gurugram Traffic Police, these vehicles will not be allowed to enter the cities from 5 pm on January 22 to 1:30 pm on January 23. Entry of heavy vehicles has been banned in both the cities from 5 pm on January 25 to 1.30 pm on January 26.

DCP (traffic) Virendra Vij said that under the traffic advisory, heavy vehicles will be diverted at various check points. Apart from this, heavy vehicles coming from Jaipur on NH-48 will be diverted from Pachgaon on KMP Expressway. Trucks coming from Gurugram will be diverted on alternate routes at various points including Hero Honda Chowk, Shankar Chowk, Mehrauli Border, Sohna, Pataudi and Farrukhnagar.

Traffic advisory for Noida?

Traffic advisory has been issued in Noida. An appeal has been made to the general public to follow the diversion from January 22 till the conclusion of the events on January 26. According to the Noida traffic advisory, heavy vehicles entering Delhi from Chilla border can take a U-turn at Chilla red light and proceed via Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, connecting to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Heavy trucks coming from DND can also take a U-turn at the toll plaza using the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to reach the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Other heavy trucks coming from Kalindi Kunj border will be diverted from the underpass intersection before Yamuna river, which will take them from Noida-Greater Noida Expressway towards Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
