Preparations for the Test series between India and England starting next month are in full swing. From June 20, a five -match Test series will be played between the two teams. Meanwhile, BCCI, taking an important step, has again appointed T Dileep as the fielding coach of Team India.

In fact, the coaching staff was changed after India did not perform as expected in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. During that time Dileep and Assistant Coach Abhishek Nair were removed. However, now BCCI has decided to hand over the responsibility of this post to Dileep again due to lack of suitable options for England tour.

T Dilip again appointed

A source informed that Dileep has been with Team India for the last three years and his synergy with the players is quite good. In such a situation, the board decided that the team would need them in an important series like England. It was told that BCCI was trying to bring a foreigner to this post, but this could not be possible due to lack of time.

During Dilip’s previous term, he also started some popular initiatives, including giving medals to the best fielder after every match and sometimes getting the medal to the celebrities. This is the reason why he is also very popular among the players.

Preparations for India A team also continue

On the other hand, the India A team is also going to play a four -day series for the tour of England. From May 30, the first match against Lions will be. However, Gujarat Titans players Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudarshan can miss being a part of this series. If the Gujarat Titans qualify for the IPL final to be held in Ahmedabad on June 3, these two players will not be able to play in the second four -day match of Bharat A starting on 6 June.

The command of the India A team has been handed over to former Indian batsman Rishikesh Kanitkar. He will work with Ryan Ten Doeshe (Batting Coach) and Troy Culling (Bowling Coach). Both players will have to get used to playing with a red ball under the circumstances of England so that they can keep themselves ready for the Test team.
