The IPL 2025 will start from March 22. The first match of the season will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. All the teams have started their preparations loudly for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, before the start of the season, BCCI has implemented new rules for players and teams. In this season, players will not get discounts like last season.

According to a Cricbuzz report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has further tightened the rules regarding the presence of family members before the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches and during the match. In addition, the board has made it mandatory for the players to travel by team bus. The same rule was also implemented by BCCI for Team India a few days ago.

Players will have to travel in team bus

According to the new BCCI rule, players will have to come into the team bus for practice. Teams can travel in two groups. According to the report of Cricbuzz, during a recent meeting, all the franchisees were informed through a mail after telling all the team managers about the changes in the rules. The managers’ meeting was held on 18 February on zoom call.

Family members of players will not be able to go inside the dressing room

It has also been told in the new rule that members of the players’ family cannot enter the dressing room even on the practice day. Let us know that during the match days, they do not have to go inside the dressing room anyway. During the practice days (before the tournament and during the tournament), only recognized staff is allowed to go to the dressing room and playground.

The mail states that the family members and their friends will travel in a separate car and they can see the practice of the team from the hospitality area. The team’s support staff (throw down specialist/net bowler) will have to take permission from the BCCI to enter the dressing room. Once the permission is received, he will be able to go inside the dressing room and the field without a match.
