Bank of baroda: The check of Bank of Baroda will not be cleared, if you did not do this work. BOB rules have changed. If you do not give information to the bank, the bank will not pass check. Your money transfer can get stuck. Bank of Baroda has decided to reduce the limit of the imperative of Positive Pay System to strengthen the security of the check and prevent fraud. Earlier this facility was applicable to checks of Rs 5 lakh or more, but now this value has reduced. Now it will be mandatory to give information to the bank on a check of Rs 2 lakh.
What is Positive Pay System?
The Positive Pay System was started on 1 January 2021, Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Under this, before issuing the check to the customer, the bank has to give some necessary information related to that check, such as check number, date, amount, beneficiary’s name etc. With this, before clearing the bank check, the information given in it will have to be verified. So that, the chances of cheating are reduced.
When will the changed rule apply?
Bank of Baroda has now decided to make this system mandatory on the check of low amount. This will apply in three stages.
From 1 May 2025: Compulsory on checks of Rs 4 lakh or more
From 1 August 2025: Compulsory on checks of Rs 3 lakh or more
From 1 November 2025: Compulsory on checks of Rs 2 lakh or more
How to send positive pay information?
Bank of Baroda has given many easy options for customers through which they can send check information.

Through the bank’s website
Before giving the check, send the information to the bank, so that there is no obstruction in the clearance.
How to do Positive Pay Confirmation from mobile banking?
Log in in Baroda M-Connect Plus app.
Go to Request Services and choose Positive Pay Confirmation.
Choose account
Fill the check number, amount, beneficiary’s name, date and transaction code.
Verify by adding mpin.
How to do Positive Pay Confirmation from Net Banking?
Log in in bob ibanking.
Services> Cheque Book> Centralized Positive Pay Mechanism
Fill all the necessary information information
Confirm by entering transaction password
If you are issuing a check of 2 lakh or more, then it will be mandatory to give positive pay confirmation after the fixed dates. This will protect your amount and avoid fraud.
