The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a 12 -day holiday for banks across the country in June. The 12 -day holiday includes weekend holiday i.e. all Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays. That is, banks will be closed for 6 days due to festivals. These holidays are declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act and these days banks do not have public transactions. Banks are closed on all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Therefore, bank customers are advised to deal with their important work before the holidays, so that no problem has to be faced.
