Bank Holidays: Tomorrow on 18th October, the festival of Dhanteras will be celebrated across the country. Buying gold and silver on the day of Dhanteras is considered auspicious. However, banks will not be closed tomorrow due to Dhanteras. Rather, only banks in the state of Assam are going to remain closed due to Kati Bihu. In such a situation, apart from Assam, bank customers of other states can go to the branch and complete their work. Tomorrow is the third Saturday of October. Banks are open on the third Saturday.
There is a long list of bank holidays in the remaining days of October. During this period, banks will remain closed for 11 days in different states due to festivals and Sundays. Now major festivals in the country include Dhanteras, Kati Bihu, Chhoti Diwali, Badi Diwali, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Chhath and Bhai Dooj. In such a situation, customers should complete the important banking work of the next week tomorrow itself. Tomorrow banks will remain closed in only one state, Assam. Rest, banks will remain open in all the states.

There will be bank holiday in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Manipur, Jammu and Srinagar due to Diwali Amavasya, Lakshmi Puja and Govardhan Puja.
22 October 2025
In Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, banks will remain closed on Diwali, Vikram Samvat New Year, Govardhan Puja and Balipadyami.
23 October 2025
Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Lakshmi Puja, Bhratrividiya and Ningol Chakouba.
