Ahoi fast will be observed tomorrow on Monday. Banks will not be closed on Monday, 13 October due to Ahoi. RBI has not given holiday on Monday. Ahoi Ashtami fast is observed by mothers in Hindu religion to pray for the long life, happiness, prosperity and good health of their children. This fast is observed on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, which falls about a week before Diwali. On this day, mothers observe fast from sunrise till the stars appear and worship Ahoi Mata in the evening.

In Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, banks will remain closed on Diwali, Vikram Samvat New Year, Govardhan Puja and Balipadyami.

Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Lakshmi Puja, Bhratrividiya and Ningol Chakouba.
