According to the annual holiday calendar of RBI, the work of banks across India will continue as normal on January 13, 2025. However, due to Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Uttarayan and other festivals, there will be a bank holiday on January 14, 2025 in some cities and states. There will be bank holidays in different parts of the country on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
On January 14, there will be a bank holiday in cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Gangtok, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Kanpur and Lucknow on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Uttarayan Punyakala, and Megh Bihu. There is no bank holiday in Delhi-NCR. There are no bank holidays in these areas on these dates in the RBI calendar.
