Why will the banks be closed on Monday 12 May?
On Monday 12 May, the banks will remain closed due to Buddha Purnima. Banks are going to be closed on Monday in most states of the country. Buddha Purnima is an important religious and cultural festival. According to the Holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), this holiday occurs in most states. Banks are going to be closed in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal.
When will the banks be closed due to Saturday and Sunday
Banks will also be closed due to regular weekly holidays in May. These holidays will remain closed on all Sundays i.e. 4, 11, 18 and 25 May. Apart from this, banks are scheduled to be closed on 10 and 24 May on the second and fourth Saturdays.
