Bank holiday: In many parts of the country, the banks will be closed for two days on the occasion of Bakrid i.e. Eid-ul-Aadha and Eid-ul-Juha. Public and private sector banks will remain closed in some states on June 6 and 7 according to the list of holidays of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Apart from this, there will be a regular weekly holiday across the country on Sunday, June 8. That is, banks will remain closed for 3 days in some states from today.

June 6 (Friday): Banks will remain closed on the occasion of Bakrid in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in Kerala. This festival is an important opportunity in the religion of Islam, which remembers Hazrat Ibrahim’s devotion and sacrifice towards Allah.
June 7 (Saturday): In most parts of the country, banks will remain closed due to goat, but banks will remain open in Ahmedabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram as this is the first Saturday of the month. Banks are closed only on the second and fourth Saturdays in India.
June 8 (Sunday): All banks across the country will remain closed due to regular weekly holidays.
Will online banking work work?
Yes, online services like UPI, Internet banking and mobile banking will be completely operational during these holidays. Customers can easily do money transfer, checkbook request, debit/credit card service and NEFT/RTGS transactions through these mediums.
