Bank Holidays: If you are planning to go to the bank today i.e. on 10th October 2025, then read this news first. According to the holiday list of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), all government and private banks will remain closed in Himachal Pradesh today on the occasion of Karva Chauth. However, banks in all the remaining states of the country will remain open normally today and daily operations will continue.

The festival of Karva Chauth is very special for married women. On this day, women observe Nirjala fast to pray for the long life and happiness and prosperity of their husbands. After fasting throughout the day without drinking water, the fast is broken only after seeing the moon and worshiping at night.

According to the RBI holiday list, today’s holiday is only a state-level holiday, hence its impact will be limited to Himachal Pradesh only. At the same time, banks in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and other states will open at their scheduled time.

However, customers whose banks are closed can easily do their transactions through online banking, mobile apps or ATM services. These digital services will have no impact on the holidays.

In the next few days too, there will be bank holidays in different states due to festivals like Dussehra and Valmiki Jayanti. Therefore, before doing any important work, definitely check the RBI bank holiday list for October 2025.
