The United Nations (UN) on Wednesday released a report on the action taken on anti -government students’ demonstrations in Bangladesh last year. The UN claims that 1400 people were killed in this action. Most of these people are responsible for the death of the security forces.

According to the report, Bangladeshi security forces resorted to large -scale firing, arrests and torture to suppress the movement. The action took place on the orders of political leadership and top security officers. The UN has demanded an international inquiry, calling it a ‘crime against humanity’.

Let us know that last year in Bangladesh, students performed extensively to overthrow the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Security forces resorted to violence to suppress it. Later Hasina had to leave the country and take refuge in India.

The agitating students who counted Hasina have now announced to form a new party (Nutan Bangladesh Party). Students are planning on a large scale for this.

Hasanat Abdullah, the convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, said that we have abolished the dictatorship of Hasina but the rest of the dictatorship remains to end the remaining remains. Student leaders say that the party of youth and students is needed to institutionalize democracy.

Interim government’s hand in creating a new party allegation of BNP

After the announcement of bringing a political party, the interim government and Khaleda Zia’s party have been stuck in BNP. The party’s Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that this party was being formed under the supervision of the intelligence agency.

BNP says that this new party is Raja’s party, which is the hand of the interim government in making. The new party will be independent, or it will be a puppet of the army, BNP has also raised doubts.

The movement against reservation had coupled

Sheikh Hasina left the country on 5 August last year and came to India. Actually, students were protesting against him. On June 5 in Bangladesh, the High Court implemented a 30% quota system in the job, protesting the students of universities in Dhaka against this reservation. This reservation was being given to the families of freedom fighters.

As soon as the government of Hasina ended this reservation, the students started demanding their resignation. On seeing this, a large number of students and common people took to the road against Hasina and their government. Two months after this Protest, he resigned as Prime Minister on 5 August. After this the interim government was established.
