The inclination of the Chief General Walker-e-Zaman of the Bangladeshi Army is now being seen towards the radical Islamic parties. These include parties like Jamaat-e-Islami, Islamic movement Bangladesh, Khilafat Majlis, Muttahide Majlis-e-Mal, and Tanjimul Ulema.
All of them together are emerging as a radical alliance and unitedly demanding a proportional representation system (vote -based seat sharing). He has warned that if this demand is not accepted, they will adopt the path of election boycott.
The main opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is struggling with internal challenges. The party has not been able to decide the candidates so far and due to many contenders in every seat, the contradictions are deepening. In such a situation, the party is considering the possible return of the leader Tariq Rahman as the final hope of upliftment from the party crisis.

Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League is almost missing from the electoral fray. At the same time, the party of the fast emerging students is campaigning tremendously by the National Citizen Party (NCP).
BNP leader Tariq can return to Bangladesh
It is a matter of relief for BNP that party’s acting chairman Tariq Rahman can return to Bangladesh in July or August. This will end the party’s political uncertainty.
BNP is preparing to make their return historic. A new house is also being decorated near BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s Feroza Bungalow in Gulshan. It is believed that Tariq can live in it with his family.
