The purchase and sale of pigs in Himachal Pradesh has been banned. This decision has been taken by the state’s animal husbandry department after the cases of swine flu. According to the information, recently a case of infection with African swine flu was reported in the Kolka Panchayat of Jhanduta sub -division in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. After this, orders have been issued by the administration to ban the purchase and sale of pigs.
36 pigs killed, 4 killed
A total of 36 pigs were killed due to swine flu infection at a boar rearing center in Bilaspur. After this, 4 pigs were killed as per the rules of the Animal Husbandry Department. The department has evacuated the boar rearing center and has started sanitization work. According to the official, the farm falls under the veterinary dispensary Daslehra and a total of 40 pigs were reared in it. (input language)
