For this, now the Ayushman Vy Vandana card can be made directly through the Ayushman app. The central government has taken a big step towards making health service easier and accessible for the elderly in the country.
What is Ayushman Vy Vandana Card?
It is a special health ID card, which comes under the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Government of India. Through this card, all citizens of 70 years or older can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually in listed government and private hospitals of the country. This scheme was started in the year 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has now become the world’s largest government health insurance scheme.
Who will get the benefit?
This plan is for all Indian citizens. If you are 70 years or older. Those who have a valid Aadhaar card. Whose mobile number is related to Aadhaar. He can avail this government scheme. There is no obligation of income in this scheme. You are rich or poor, if you are 70 or older, then you are eligible for it.

How to apply?
You can apply in two ways – through the mobile app or by going to the official website.
1. How to apply from Ayushman app
Download Ayushman App from Google Play Store.
Login as Beneficiary.
Add mobile number and captcha, then verify from OTP.
Enrollment for 70+ choose options.
Enter the Aadhaar number and complete the E-KYC.
Upload your photo and fill the necessary information.
Submit the form.
The card will be available for download in a few minutes.
2. Apply through the official website
Go to https://pmjay.gov.in.
Login by adding mobile number and captcha.
Click on Enrollment for Senior Citizens (70+).
Enter the Aadhaar number and E-KYC via OTP or biometrics.
Fill the required details, give consent and upload live photos.
The card will be downloaded in 15-20 minutes as soon as they submit.
How many people have applied till now?
According to government data, 65,97,096 applications have been received so far, out of which 64,96,101 have been sanctioned. About 96,203 applications are being processed. 4,792 applications have been rejected for several reasons. At present, only 434 cards have been distributed.
Which states have the maximum applications?
Most applications have come from states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh.
