Aadhar card: Nowadays Aadhaar card has become necessary everywhere. If you want to take a mobile SIM, open an account with a bank or a base is also required while checking in the hotel. But scammers have started taking advantage of this need. They misuse people by stealing the Aadhaar number of people through an excuse or app. Most people do not even know which apps or mobile numbers their Aadhaar is. In such a situation, it is important that you delin your Aadhaar card with unwanted platforms so that your personal information does not go in the wrong hands.
Why is it necessary to delin the base?
If you have registered with your Aadhaar number in many places, then there is a danger that someone can be misused. Many apps or websites can misuse your name and number, which can cause you financial and mental loss. Therefore, wherever there is no need, the best option is to delin your base from there.
Use masked base and virtual ID
Instead of sharing the real Aadhaar number, use masked Aadhaar card or virtual ID. From the UIDAI website you can download the masked base, which only shows the last 4 points. This is a safe option for a hotel or general KYC. This will not give your complete information to anyone and the risk of fraud will also decrease.
Aadhaar will be easier to remove from mobile number
Now Aadhaar is not necessary for taking mobile SIM. If your Aadhaar is already linked to SIM, you can request by going to your telecom operator to remove the Aadhaar from the record. For this, you can identify by showing PAN card or voter ID. This is an easy way that no one will be able to remove Aadhaar information through your mobile number.
Learn from UIDAI website where Aadhaar was used
If you want to know in which places you have used Aadhaar so far, then go to UIDAI’s website and choose the option of Aadhaar Authority History. After logging in here, you can see when and where and where your base was verified. This will let you know that no app or website is using your data without your knowledge.
If you feel that you have never given Aadhaar to an app or website, but it is visible in the record there, then immediately delete the app and try to remove your Aadhaar from there. Also, you can also file a complaint on the helpline of UIDAI.
