42 -year -old Punjab -origin Gaurav Kundi, who was a victim of alleged barbarity of police in Australia’s Adelaide city, is fighting the battle of life and death. Gaurav is currently on the life support system at Royal Adelaide Hospital and according to doctors, he lost his mind and throat veins

According to Gaurav’s wife Amritpal Kaur, the incident took place on Paynehm Road in Eastern Sabarbes, Adelaide when the police stopped him on the road. Amritpal told that the police dropped Gaurav on the ground and then hit the car and then on the road. He initially started making a video of the incident, but when an officer started kneeling on Gaurav’s chest, she got nervous.
In the video, Gaurav was heard shouting- I have not done anything wrong, and then he fainted.

Gaurav was immediately rushed to the hospital where doctors said that his mind had been completely damaged. The doctors said that “If his brain works, he might come to his senses, otherwise Gaurav Kundi is the father of two children.
Police felt gaurav committing violence against his wife
Amritpal admitted that Gaurav was in a state of intoxication at that time, but he claims that there was no such thing as domestic violence. He had drunk more alcohol and was speaking loudly. I was explaining to them that let’s go home. But the police misunderstood him that he was attacking me.
Police clarified
South Australia Police Commissioner Grant Stevens defended the policemen, saying that he had reviewed the body’s footage and the officials were taking action according to their training.
Police claim that Gaurav opposed the arrest, due to which he had to use force. The incident has created anger in the Indian community in Australia and the functioning of the police is being questioned.
