Actually a big announcement has been made by Amazon. The company has said that even after taking prime subscription from the users, advertisements will be seen in the middle of the content. This decision of Amazon is a major setback for millions of users who have taken prime membership and do OTT streaming on prime videos.
There will be a change in the platform from this day
Amazon has given information about this change to his Prime members. For this, the company has also emailed users. The mail states that Prime Video users will soon see Limited advertisements during a movie or second show. The company has not been disclosed at the moment how many advertisements will be shown. Let us tell you that Amazon will change this change from 17 June 2025.
Amazon has introduced new plans along with changes to be made on the OTT platform. If Prime users want to see ad free content, then a separate recharge plan will have to be taken. Users will have to take an annual plan of Rs 699 for ad-free content. The company has also introduced monthly plans for this, which costs only Rs 129.
Amazon Prime subscription plan
If you have not subscribed to Amazon Prime yet, then let us tell you that Amazon pays a plan of Rs 299 for this. This price is a one -month plan of Amazon Prime. If you want to get prime subscription for 3 months, then for this you will have to take a plan of Rs 599. On the other hand, if you want to take an annual plan of Amazon Prime, then you will have to spend Rs 1499. After June 17, users will be shown advertisements in content even after taking prime subscriptions. Now a separate plan will have to be purchased for ad free content.
