Ajit Ratnakar Joshi: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Dr. Ajit Ratnakar Joshi to the post of Executive Director (ED). Prior to appointment to this post, he was serving as Principal Advisor in the Department of Statistics and Information Management. Dr. Joshi has more than 30 years of experience in areas such as Statistics, Information Technology and Cyber Risk Management.

Dr. Ajit Ratnakar Joshi, the new Executive Director (ED) of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has also worked as a faculty member at the Banking Technology Development and Research Institute in Hyderabad. In addition, he has played a key role in many committees and work groups related to macroeconomic statistics and policy making.
As Executive Director, Dr. Joshi will take over the responsibility of the Department of Statistics and Information Management as well as the Department of Financial Stability. Talking about the educational qualification of Dr. Ajit Ratnakar Joshi, he has done his PhD in monetary economics from IIT Madras with a master’s degree in statistics from Nagpur University. At the same time, he has also done diploma in development policy and scheme from Economic Development Institute, Delhi. He is also a certified affiliate of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).
