
South Africa women’s cricket team
While the IPL is busy playing IPL 2025 against the Indian Mains cricket team, the Indian women’s cricket team will be seen playing in the TRAI Nations ODI series to be held in Sri Lanka from 27 April. Apart from hosts Sri Lanka and India, South Africa team will also participate in this series. Recently, India announced its team. Now South Africa has also announced its team for the TRAI Nation Series.
Young wicketkeeper Karabo Meso and spin all -rounder Seepha Naidu and Mian Smt have been included in the ODI team for the first time. Naidu and Meso were involved in the Under-19 T20 World Cup this year, where the South African team lost to India in the final. He has also represented South Africa in T20I. Miane Smt was a traveling reserve player in the T20 World Cup held in UAE last year. Apart from this, Nondumiso Shangase has also returned to the team for the first time after South Africa’s visit to India in June last year. However, fast bowler Ayanda Hulubi, wicketkeeper Meeke de Rider and opener Lara Gudal have not been included in the team.

Significantly, hosts Sri Lanka have not yet announced their squad for the TRAI Nation ODI series. The team is expected to be announced in the next few days. This series will be very important in terms of preparations for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. All the matches of the series will be played at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo.
