In the past, a tremor of a fierce earthquake in Delhi-NCR had shocked people. Now the tremors of earthquake are felt once again. This time the earthquake has engulfed the Andaman Sea. According to the National Center for Sismology, an earthquake of 5.2 magnitude occurred in the Malaysia area near Andaman Sagar around 8:50 am on Thursday.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 75 km below the sea and was located at 5.57 degree eastern longitude. The earthquake was quite intense and its tremors were felt, but the relief is that there is no news of any loss of life or casualties so far.
Delhi was shaken by earthquake-NCR
Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt on Monday morning in the country’s capital Delhi and its surrounding areas. The intensity of the earthquake was measured 4.0. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a post on ‘X’ that earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas. He urged everyone to remain calm and follow safety measures and also asked to be vigilant for possible tremors.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in the lake park area of Dhaula Kuan and there were reports of a loud sound after the earthquake. The National Earthquake Science Center had reported that the tremors of the earthquake were felt at 5.36 am on Monday morning.
After the earthquake, Delhi Police also urged people to call the helpline number 112 in an emergency. People living in tall buildings in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad came out of their homes due to the rapid tremors of the earthquake.
