South Africa has qualified for the semi -finals while staying at the top in its group. Africa played their last group match against England and won by 7 wickets. But in this match, the African team’s star player Aidan Makram was injured. This is why the tension increased before the semi -finals of Africa. Now the African team has taken a big decision and included spin bowling all -rounder George Linde as a traveling reserve as a cover of Makram.
Injured in the match against England
South Africa’s regular captain Temba Bavuma did not play in the match against England due to ill. For this reason, Aidan Makram took over the responsibility of captaincy against England. African camp will be involved
According to ESPN Cricinfo report, the African team is currently in Pakistan and George Linde will join the South African team’s camp on Tuesday evening. But until Aidan Makram is officially out of the Champions Trophy 2025 and the ICC event technical committee confirms the exchange. Till then he will remain traveling reserve.
