Accident happened during paragliding.
Panaji: Paragliding is everyone’s dream. However, many times accidents have happened during paragliding, to avoid which it is necessary to be cautious. One such incident has come to light from North Goa. Here two people died due to negligence during paragliding. In this accident, a paragliding female tourist and her instructor have died. Police gave information about this incident on Sunday.
The pilot was a citizen of Nepal
An official said that this accident happened in Kerry village at around 5 pm on Saturday evening. He said that Pune resident tourist Shivani Dable and her instructor Sumal Nepali (26) died in the accident in Kerry Plateau. The woman’s trainer was a Nepali citizen. The officer said that the ‘adventure sports company’ with which Dabale had booked for ‘paragliding’ was being operated illegally. He said that according to the complaint, the ‘paraglider’ fell into a ravine immediately after taking off, killing both of them on the spot. In this regard, a case has been registered against the company owner Shekhar Raizada at Mandrem police station. The police is investigating the matter
Case of culpable homicide registered
Goa Director General of Police Alok Kumar said in this matter that a case of culpable homicide has been registered against the company and its owner. According to police officer Paresh Kale, accused Shekhar Raizada knowingly allowed the pilot of his company to conduct paragliding without a license, thereby putting the lives of tourists in danger. Meanwhile, the police team is busy investigating the accident. In this matter, a case has been registered and action is being taken against the accused. (Input- PTI)
