Aadhar: If you have not yet updated your Aadhaar card information, then you have a golden opportunity to update it for free. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) is giving an opportunity to update the information for free in Aadhaar. Users can update online Aadhaar information on the Myadhaar portal. Uidai’s free service can be availed by users till 14 June 2025. That is, users have about 12 days left to update for free. However, UIDAI, the deadline to update the address for free, has increased several times before. It may be that this deadline will increase once again but for this the official announcement will have to be waited. Until the deadline is extended, the last date for free updates in Aadhaar is June 14.
Which information can be updated for free
Under this free service, you can update your Idendity proof and Proof of Address (POA) online. However, after 15 June 2025, if you go to the physical base center and get the information updated, then the fee of Rs 50 will be charged, which is equal to the current offline charge.
Why did UIDAI make this appeal?
UIDAI has specifically appealed to those people to update Aadhaar, whose Aadhaar is 10 years or more and has never been updated yet. This keeps the information correct in the records. There is no problem in taking advantage of any government schemes.
How to update Aadhaar online?
Go to the Myaadhaar portal (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in).
Login via Aadhaar number and OTP.
Upload scan copy of valid POI and POA documents.
Submit a request and note 14 digits update request number (URN).
If just to change the address?
Login on the base self -service update portal.
Click on Proceed to Update Address.
Enter the new address and upload its proof.
Submit and take out the URN.
You can download your updated Aadhaar card after request approval.
Why is the base important?
Aadhaar is a 12 -digit unique identification number, which the Government of India releases to the residents of the country. It works as a proof of identity and address and is used in many government and private works such as banks, mobile numbers, government schemes. UIDAI means the Unique Identification Authority of India works as a basis, correction and renewal. Its aim is that all Indian citizens should get reliable digital recognition.
Free updates can be made by 14 June
