Aadhaar-uan link: The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made the process of linking Aadhaar to the Universal Account Number (UAN) and improving personal details even more simple. The aim of the new rules is to ensure rapid and easy access to PF services, decrease in documentary hassles and timely payment. Especially in cases related to minor beneficiaries, now there will be a settlement without unnecessary hurdles.
Aadhaar-UAN Linking Now Easy
If the name, gender and date of birth in Aadhaar and UAN recommend, members can directly contact your employer. Employers will be able to complete Aadhaar linking through KYC function on the portal. In this process, there will be no need to get separate approval from EPFO, which will end the delay before.
Not even difficult in Missamatch details
The joint declaration (JD) process has been simplified where the information of Aadhaar and UAN does not match or the wrong Aadhaar is added. Employers will now be able to rectify mistakes like name, gender or date of birth through online JD request.
If the employer is not available or the company is closed, members can submit the verified form to the pro counter. However, changes in already verified base details will not be allowed.
Minors will get benefits without hassle
The EPFO has also made the process of claiming for minor children of the deceased member easier. Now the guardianship certificate will not be required and the payment will be deposited directly to the children’s bank account. For this, the Pro officials have been instructed to cooperate in opening the accounts of minors.
