Delhi Today a great news came for the people living in it. The Delhi Cabinet today approved an additional subsidy of Rs 30,000 for installing 3 kW solar panels on the roof of the houses. Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa gave this information. The Delhi minister said, “In an important meeting of the cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, an additional subsidy of Rs 10,000 per kW has been approved to the people of Delhi, which will be around Rs 30,000.” Let us tell you that the central government gives subsidy up to Rs 78,000 to install solar panels on the roofs under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Yojana.

A total subsidy of Rs 1,08,000 will be available on 3 kW solar panel

With this decision of the Delhi government, the people of Delhi will now get a total subsidy of Rs 1,08,000 for installing 3 kW solar panels. This includes an additional subsidy of Rs 30,000 given by the Delhi government with a subsidy of Rs 78,000 given by the Central Government. Manjinder Singh Sirsa also said that the government will partner with banks, so that people can get loans easily on the expenses incurred in installing solar panels. He said that people will not have to spend money from their pockets and will save Rs 4200 every month.

Subsidy is available only on a maximum 3 kW solar panel

Let us tell you that under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana, 60 percent of the expenditure incurred in installing solar panels up to 2 kW and 40 percent subsidy of additional expenditure is provided for solar systems between 2 to 3 kW capacity. The subsidy limit is limited to 3 kW capacity. This directly means that the beneficiaries will get Rs 30,000 for 1 kW solar, Rs 60,000 for 2 kW and Rs 78,000 for 3 kW.
