Yamini, who won people’s hearts with her game on the show, recently spoke about the challenges she faces while looking for a house in the dream city of Mumbai. Yamini revealed that landlords are reluctant to rent houses to her just because she is an actress. Many home owners are not at all ready to rent to people in the industry. Yamini also said that the brokers were also asking her questions about her religion.

‘Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein’ Yamini wrote on her Instagram story, ‘Hello friends, I just want to share something which has been really very sad for me. As much as I love Mumbai, it is becoming more difficult to find a house here. I have been asked questions like, ‘Are you a Hindu or a Muslim?’, ‘Gujarati or Marwari?’ And as soon as people come to know that I am an actress, they flatly refuse to give me a house. She further said, ‘Am I not entitled to a house because I am an actress? It is shocking how anyone can ask these questions even in 2025. Can we call it a city of dreams, if there are conditions attached with dreams?

Who is Yamini Malhotra?
Yamini, a resident of Delhi, is also a dentist who is now fulfilling her passion of becoming an actress. Apart from ‘Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein’, she also worked in ‘Main Teri Tu Mera’ and the 2016 Telugu film ‘Chuttalbai’. The actress had entered Bigg Boss 18 as a wildcard contestant. However, she was evicted from the house within a few weeks.
