America’s newly elected President Donald Trump is going to take the oath of office on January 20. Even before his swearing-in, protests against him have taken place in many parts of the country. On Saturday, thousands of people demonstrated against Trump at different places.
A group of several NGOs together demonstrated against Trump’s policies under the banner ‘People’s March’. Apart from Trump, the protesters protested against Elon Musk and his close associates through posters and banners.
Even before this, this group had protested against Trump’s first swearing-in in January 2017. This group includes organizations like Abortion Action Now, The Feminist Front and Women’s March.

Trump reached Washington for swearing in
Donald Trump has reached the capital Washington for the swearing-in. Trump took off from West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday afternoon in an Air Force C-32 military aircraft. He was also accompanied by his wife Melania and son Barron Trump.
This flight was named Special Air Mission 47. Mission 47 means that Donald Trump will be the 47th President of America. US President Joe Biden provided this aircraft to Trump.
In America, usually the outgoing President does this for the new President. However, Donald Trump did not do this for Biden in 2021. Because of this, Biden had to come to Washington by private plane.

Trump will sign more than 100 orders after taking oath
After taking oath on Monday, Trump will sign more than 100 executive orders. His team has prepared these orders before the start of his tenure. These will be placed on Trump’s table in the Oval Office.
These orders have been prepared with the aim of fulfilling Trump’s election promises. During an interview, Trump said he planned to sign a record number of orders on the first day.
According to the New York Times, these orders could include sealing the Mexico border, deporting illegal immigrants and barring transgenders from participating in women’s sports.
Executive orders are orders that are issued unilaterally by the President and have the force of law. These do not require the approval of Congress. Congress cannot overturn them, but they can be challenged in court.
