EBITDA rose 18.8 per cent to Rs 16,585 crore in the December quarter from Rs 13,955 crore a year ago. Jio’s ARPU increased from Rs 195.1 to Rs 203.3 due to tariff increase and better subscriber mix. Jio said that the full impact of the tariff increase is yet to be seen.

By the end of December 2024, the number of Jio subscribers was 48.21 crore, which is 2.4 percent more than last year. Total subscriber addition in Q3FY25 was 33 lakh, including a surge in mobility subscriber growth.

Jio said the October-December quarter was a record quarter for domestic connections, with ~20 lakh new connections added. JioAirFiber is rapidly growing towards global leadership with a subscriber base of ~45 lakh. “Jio is the world’s leading standalone 5G operator (outside China) with a subscriber base of 170 million. True5G accounts for 40% of Jio’s wireless traffic,” Jio said in a statement. Jio reported industry leading customer engagement with per capita data consumption of 32.3 GB per month and total data traffic growth of 22.2 per cent.
