Akhnoor: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has given a big statement regarding PoK and Pakistan. Speaking at the 9th Armed Forces Veterans Day programme, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that Jammu and Kashmir is incomplete without PoK. PoK is nothing more than a foreign territory for Pakistan. The land of PoK is being used to run the business of terrorism. Terrorist training camps are being run in PoK. He said that Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) has to destroy its terrorist infrastructure or be prepared to face the consequences.
Terrorist camps running in PoK: Rajnath Singh
While addressing the ex-servicemen in Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir, the Defense Minister said that Pakistan is using the land of PoK to promote terrorism. Even today terrorist training camps are going on there. Launch pads have been made in the areas near the border and the Indian government has strong knowledge of this and is fully aware of the situation.
India has always defeated Pakistan: Defense Minister
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the war between India and Pakistan was fought in Akhnoor in 1965. India was successful in thwarting the efforts of the Pakistani army. India has always defeated Pakistan in all the wars in history. Pakistan has been promoting illegal infiltration and terrorism since 1965. Our Muslim brothers have sacrificed their lives fighting against terrorism. Even today, more than 80% of the terrorists entering India are from Pakistan. Cross-border terrorism would have ended in 1965 itself, but the then central government was unable to convert the tactical gains made in the war into strategic gains.
Defense Minister praised Omar Abdullah
Rajnath Singh said that the top priority of our government is to bridge the gap that exists between Kashmir and the rest of the country. Steps are being taken in this direction by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Veterans Day celebrations in Akhnoor prove that Akhnoor has the same place in our hearts as Delhi does.
Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir never supported Pakistan
Rajnath Singh said, “Neither during the 1965 war nor during the peak of terrorism, the people of Jammu and Kashmir supported Pakistan. Instead, many of our Muslim brothers here sacrificed their lives fighting terrorism. He also highlighted the sacrifice of individuals like Mohammad Usman, who sacrificed his life to protect the sovereignty of the country. He said that even today, despite international pressure, it has not given up its policy of supporting terrorism.
