Makar Sankranti celebrations were organized in New Delhi. Actor Chiranjeevi and badminton player PV Sindhu also participated in this Makar Sankranti ceremony along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This special program was organized at the residence of Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy. Many other well-known personalities also participated in this program held on Monday. The video of this celebration has also surfaced, in which PM Modi is seen reaching the venue. Chiranjeevi is also seen along with him.

According to ANI, along with Chiranjeevi and PV Sindhu, several Union Ministers and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also attended the event. Makar Sankranti is the festival of harvest preparation. People share its happiness with each other. This festival is celebrated with different names in different states. On the same lines, a glimpse of Sankranti celebration of every state was seen in this event also. In a video that has surfaced recently, Chiranjeevi can be seen walking with PM Narendra Modi. PM Modi started this event by lighting the lamp. Singer Sunita also participated in the puja ceremony. After the inauguration, he also gave a special performance and entertained the people present there. Along with this, many classical dance presentations also took place.

When Chiranjeevi came into politics
Let us tell you, Chiranjeevi has also done politics for some time. Like his brother Pawan Kalyan, he also founded a political party. Started Praja Rajyam Party in Tirupati in the year 2008. In the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, the party won 18 out of 294 seats and secured more than 16% vote share. The party merged with the Indian National Congress in 2011. Later that year he assumed the post of Union Minister of State for Tourism. However, he has been away from active politics since 2014. His brother Pawan Kalyan is now the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh through the Jana Sena Party in alliance with the TDP and BJP.

Talking about films, Chiranjeevi was last seen in the films ‘Waltair Veeraiya’ and ‘Bhola Shankar’ of the year 2023. Chiranjeevi will soon make a strong acting debut in the social-fantasy film ‘Vishvambhara’. This film was to be released on Sankranti, but its release was postponed. Then in the same slot, actor’s son Ram Charan’s film ‘Game Changer’ was released. Apart from this, actor Shrikant will also be seen in a new project of Odela.
