Rohit can train with Mumbai Ranji team
After the defeat in Australia, BCCI officials had held a review meeting with coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar. Rohit was also a part of this meeting. Now Rohit has expressed interest in training with the Mumbai Ranji team. They have contacted head coach Omkar Salavi and inquired about when they will train for the next Ranji match, which is still 10 days away, a Mumbai Cricket Association official told PTI on condition of anonymity. Rohit is going to participate in a promotional program in Mumbai on Tuesday.

When Ranji Trophy resumes on January 23, Mumbai team will play Jammu and Kashmir and this match is important as far as progressing in the knockouts is concerned. Now it remains to be seen whether Rohit Sharma participates only in the training sessions or also participates in the Ranji Trophy with the Mumbai team. He last played for Mumbai in 2015 against Uttar Pradesh.
