Ira Jadhav Triple Century: In the Women’s Under-19 ODI Trophy, the match between Mumbai team and Meghalaya team was held in Alur, Bengaluru, in which Mumbai team won in a resounding manner by 544 runs. The bowlers and batsmen showed a strong performance for Mumbai. Ira Yadav has created history by scoring a triple century. Captain Harley Gala also scored a century.
Ira Jadhav did wonders
While opening for the Mumbai team, 14 year old Ira Jadhav presented an example of strong batting. He scored a total of 346 runs playing 157 balls, which included 42 fours and 16 sixes. Meghalaya bowlers could not stand before them. With this, Ira became the highest scorer in the Women’s Under-19 ODI Trophy. She is the first player to score a triple century in any limited overs tournament organized by BCCI. Ira Jadhav was the youngest player to register in the Women’s Premier League 2025 auction, but she remained unsold. However, just a few days later, he was kept on standby for India’s Under-19 T20 World Cup team.
Captain Harley Gala scored a century
Alina Mulla (8 runs) came to open with Ira Jadhav. But she could not play a big innings. But after this Ira and captain Harley Gala batted excellently. There was a partnership of 274 runs between these two for the second wicket. Hurley Gala scored 116 runs. He hit 14 fours and one six during his innings. Mithali Harshad Mhatre remained not out after scoring 26 runs. It is because of these players that Mumbai team was successful in scoring 563 runs at the loss of three wickets in 50 overs.
Mumbai team got a big victory
After this, no batsman from the Meghalaya team could stay on the crease and bat. Not a single batsman could reach double digits for the team. The entire team could score only 19 runs in 25.4 overs. For Mumbai, Jiya Mandravadkar and Yayati took three wickets each. Ritika Yadav and Akshay Shinde took 2-2 wickets. Because of these players, Meghalaya’s batting collapsed badly and the team had to face a crushing defeat by 544 runs.
