Champions Trophy 2025: The date of Champions Trophy is approaching and gradually all the countries have started announcing their respective teams. After England and New Zealand, now Bangladesh has also announced its team for the Champions Trophy. Bangladesh has made Nazmul Hasan Shanto the captain of its team. Experienced fast bowlers Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah have managed to retain their places in the team, but star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has not been included in the team. Shakib is facing a ban due to questionable bowling action. Apart from Shakib, Liton Das has also not got a place in the team.
Let us tell you, Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was banned from bowling in all competitions organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after his action was found illegal during independent testing about a month ago. Last year, when Shakib was playing in the county match, a complaint was made regarding his bowling action, after which he had to give a test regarding his action in which he failed. After this, he again had to test his bowling action in Chennai, the report of which also did not come as per his expectation.
Bangladesh and India in the same group
Bangladesh team has been placed in the same group with India and Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025. New Zealand team is also included in this group. Bangladesh team will start its campaign in the tournament against India. This match will be played in Dubai on 20th February. This match will be very important for both the teams.
