Linter fell under construction at Kannauj railway station
New Delhi/Kannauj: The roof of a building under construction at the railway station collapsed at Kannauj railway station. Many laborers working there were buried in the accident. Railways issued a statement in this regard saying that many workers were injured due to shuttering failure during slab casting. Who were sent to the hospital. Relief and rescue work has been completed. Kanpur Commissioner Vijayendra Pandian said that about 28 people have been rescued. 6 people are seriously injured but are out of danger. No casualties have been reported yet.
Railways formed investigation committee
Railways said that all the injured have been admitted to the local hospital. Relief and rescue operations were led by Divisional Railway Manager of Izzat Nagar Division, Veena Sinha and other officers. NDRF team was also deployed in relief and rescue operations. A committee of four senior officers has been formed to investigate this incident, which will thoroughly investigate the reasons behind the incident. On the incident of falling of a building under construction at Kannauj railway station, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that it is a very sad incident. An investigation committee has also been formed there.
Announcement of compensation for the injured
Railways has announced compensation to the workers injured in the incident. Fifty thousand rupees will be given to the moderately injured and two lakh fifty thousand rupees to the seriously injured. It is being paid by the railway administration.
Akhilesh Yadav’s statement came out
At the same time, Kannauj MP and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the incident in Kannauj is very sad. There was a need to maintain security during construction. Negligence has been taken and the result is that complete information has still not been received whether all the workers are saved or not. We hope that no laborer will lose his life. There is negligence on the part of the government and whether it is a small or big task, it involves negligence as well as corruption. It is the responsibility of the government to first get the workers treated and help them.
