₹5.7 lakh crore lost in stock market! Fall for the third consecutive day, midcap and smallcap indices crashed up to 2% – share market today rs 5 7 lakh crore gone sensex downs 241 points nifty below 23500 mid smallcaps crash over 2 percent

Share Market Today: Amid huge fluctuations, the stock market closed in loss for the third consecutive day today on January 10. Sensex fell 241 points. At the same time, Nifty broke its important support level of 23,500. The situation was even worse in the broader market. Small and medium stocks were badly hit. The BSE Midcap index closed down by 2.13 per cent, while the Smallcap index closed down by 2.40 per cent. Due to this, investors suffered a huge loss of about Rs 5.7 lakh crore today. Due to the good results of TCS, there was a rise in IT shares. But all other sectors closed in the red. Maximum selling was seen in banking, realty, power, pharma and utility stocks.

At the end of trading, BSE Sensex fell 241.30 points or 0.31 per cent to close at 77,378.91. NSE’s 50-share index Nifty slipped 86.50 points or 0.37 per cent and closed at 23,440.00.

Investors lost ₹5.7 lakh crore

The total market capitalization of companies listed on BSE came down to Rs 429.79 lakh crore today on January 10, which was Rs 435.49 lakh crore on its previous trading day i.e. Thursday, January 9. In this way, the market cap of companies listed in BSE has decreased by about Rs 5.7 lakh crore today. Or in other words, the wealth of investors has declined by about Rs 5.7 lakh.

These 5 Sensex stocks had the biggest rise

Today, 9 out of 30 shares of BSE Sensex closed in the green i.e. with gains. In this, shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had the highest rise of 5.67 percent. After this, shares of Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Infosys and Bajaj Finserve closed with a gain of 0.55 per cent to 3.63 per cent.

These 5 Sensex stocks fell the most

The remaining 21 Sensex stocks closed with losses today. In this too, IndusInd Bank shares were the top loser with a fall of 4.41 percent. At the same time, shares of NTPC, Ultratech Cement, State Bank of India (SBI) and Sun Pharma saw a decline of 2.25 percent to 3.78 percent.

3,162 shares declined

The number of shares closed with losses on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today. A total of 4,078 shares were traded on the exchange today. Out of these, 829 shares closed with gains. A decline was seen in 3,162 shares. While 87 shares closed flat without any fluctuations. Apart from this, 102 shares touched their new 52-week high during trading today. Whereas 264 shares touched their new 52-week low.
