Many important decisions related to Anganwadi workers have been taken in the latest cabinet meeting chaired by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The most important decision was to amend the Anganwadi Women and Child Development Subordinate Supervisor Service Rules 2021 of the state. Under this change, 50 percent of the total Anganwadi workers in the state will be directly promoted to the post of supervisor. Earlier this quota was 40 percent, of which 10 percent was reserved for Mini Anganwadi workers, which has now been included in the main promotion quota.
Conversion of Mini Anganwadi Centers into full-fledged centers
The Cabinet has decided to convert all the mini Anganwadi centers in the state into full-fledged Anganwadi centers as per the guidelines of the Central Government. With this, Mini Anganwadi workers will be directly promoted to supervisory posts, thereby expanding their work area and responsibilities. Such a step will not only improve the quality of service but will also create new inspiration and opportunities for the workers.
Other cabinet decisions
The state government has decided to allow construction of small houses and small shops in the proposed assembly areas of Raipur and its surrounding areas by making minor amendments in the fridge zone. Standards for this will be set by the Housing Development Department.
Also, the service rules of health workers and health supervisors working under the Medical Health and Medical Education Department have been amended. In this, now health workers will be allowed mutual transfer of their place once in their lifetime after five years of satisfactory service. After the new transfer, he will be the most junior in the cadre of the new district. This change will also facilitate transfer from hilly areas to plain areas and hilly districts.
