Ration Card: The government has now implemented an important rule for ration card holders. Now only those people who have updated their e-KYC will get the benefit of cheap or free ration under the National Food Security Act (NFSA). This step of the government has been taken to stop fake beneficiaries and to extend the benefits of the scheme to the genuine eligible people. Know here how you can do offline and online eKYC.
E-KYC will be mandatory every 5 years
According to the new rules, now e-KYC of ration card will have to be done compulsorily every 5 years. Many people last got e-KYC done in 2013, which means now the time has come to update it again. It is a matter of relief that the government has made this process much easier than before and now it can be completed from mobile sitting at home.
