Royal Jordanian Airlines has announced the launch of non-stop flights connecting Amman to Mumbai and Delhi this year. The airline said on Wednesday that flights to Mumbai will start from April 17, while services to Delhi will start from September 17. According to the news of Financial Express, these routes will be operated using dual-class A320neo aircraft. These will provide economy and business class options along with features like in-flight entertainment and WiFi services.
The aim is to connect Indian travelers to Jordan
According to the news, this new route being started by Royal Jordanian is part of the strategic development initiative. Its objective is to establish Jordan as a major tourist destination for Indian travelers. Karim Makhlouf, Chief Commercial Officer, Royal Jordanian Airlines, said: “The launch of our new routes to Mumbai and New Delhi is an important milestone in our strategy to promote Jordan as a tourism destination for the Indian market.
Bilateral trade and economic relations will be strengthened
The airline said that apart from tourism, the direct flight also aims to strengthen bilateral trade and economic ties between India and Jordan. The airline’s hub Amman will serve as a gateway for Indian travelers to Europe, North America and the Middle East. This will ensure seamless connections to various destinations. Royal Jordanian plans to introduce 19 new aircraft in 2025-26, including A320neos and Boeing 787s.
how much will the fare be
According to the news, Royal Jordanian flights from Mumbai and New Delhi will start at attractive prices. Fares will start from Rs 19,999 for one-way journey and Rs 33,333 for round trip. There will be flight duration of only 5 hours.
Mumbai International Airport Limited also said that it is thrilled to welcome Royal Jordanian Airlines as they launch the inaugural service connecting Mumbai and Amman from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
