An interest rate of 6% is applicable on loans up to ₹2 lakh. Whereas for loans ranging from ₹2 lakh to ₹6 lakh, the interest rate is decided in two ways. If you have taken a home loan, the interest rate will be the same as on your existing home loan. Customers without home loan will have to pay 1% (100 basis points) more than the home loan interest rate.

First of all you have to register on PM Surya Ghar portal (https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in/). After this complete your application and then click on ‘Apply for Loan’. Through this, further process will be completed on JanSamarth portal.

Step by step process of registration

step 1: Visit the official website of PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.

Step 2: Go to ‘Apply Now’ or ‘Consumer Login’ on the ‘Consumer’ page.

Step 3: Enter the registered mobile number and captcha, then click on ‘Verify’.

Step 4: Enter the OTP received on mobile and click on ‘Login’.

Step 5: Fill in the information like your name, email, address, state, district and pin code and ‘Save’.

Application for solar panel installation

After completing the registration process, you can click on ‘Apply for Solar Rooftop’ or submit the application through ‘Vendor Selection’. You can also apply by selecting State, District and Electricity Distribution Company/Utility.

After this enter your consumer account number and click on ‘Fetch Details’. Once your consumer details are loaded, click on ‘Next’ to start filling the application form and submit.
