PM Kisan: The farmers of three states of the country have got an installment of PM farmer. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Friday released the 21st installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. This installment has been released ahead of time, especially for farmers of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttarakhand. Which state farmers benefit?

8 lakh 1 thousand 45 farmers of Himachal Pradesh got Rs 160.21 crore.

Rs 221.98 crore was sent to 11 lakh 9 thousand 895 farmers of Punjab.

157.83 crore rupees were transferred to the accounts of 7 lakh 89 thousand 128 farmers of Uttarakhand.

The Agriculture Minister said that this installment of 2 thousand rupees will prove to be immediate help for the farmers. With this, they will be able to fulfill the necessary needs of the house, will be able to buy seeds and fertilizers and prepare for the next sowing.

What is PM-Kisan Yojana?

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of 6 thousand rupees is given to eligible farmers every year. This amount is given in three installments of 2 thousand rupees. There is a installment every four months, so that the farmers continue to get help on a regular basis.

Who will get the benefit?

The beneficiary should be an Indian farmer and should have cultivable land in his name.

It is necessary to link the Aadhaar number to the bank account and complete the EKYC.

Farmers, pensioners and government PSU employees paying income tax are not eligible for this scheme.
