PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Important notifications have been issued by the government for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Crores of farmers across the country have been waiting for the 21st installment for a long time. Under this scheme, the central government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. This installment is sent to the farmers’ bank account in three equal installments, that is, every installment is Rs 2,000.
What is said in notification?
The central government has told in the notification issued on the official website of PM farmer that some mess cases have been identified in which farmers who have purchased land after 1 February 2019 or have taken ownership. Families where more than one member is taking advantage of the scheme. For example, both husband and wife or parents and their son-daughters above 18 years are taking installment money together. That is, many contenders on the same land are taking advantage.
In such cases, the installment has been stopped at the moment. The farmers have been appealed to check their eligibility. For this, Know Your Status i.e. KYC service is getting. It can be used through PM Kisan website, mobile app or farmer e-Mitra Chatbot.
Why is the installment being stopped?
The government says that physical verification of such cases will be done. Until the investigation is completed, the next installment will not be sent to the accounts of those farmers. The purpose of this is to decide that only those people who are fully eligible for it.
How many installments have been released so far?
The government has released 20 installments so far. Recently, the 20th installment was recently transferred to farmers’ bank accounts on 2 August 2025.
When can the 21st installment come?
Farmers are hoping about the next installment that they get before Diwali. But if we look at the track of previous years, the installment can come in December 2025. The government issues installments every 4 months.
