Harela is celebrated at the beginning of the Shravan month, when people sow seven types of grains like wheat, barley, gram etc. in the soil and after ten days, their greenery (Harela) is cut and put on the head of family members as a blessing of the house. This festival is associated with nature, farming and family unity.

Meghalaya – The banks will be closed on the day of the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh. Tirot Singh was a freedom fighter.
19 July (Saturday)
Tripura – Banks will not open due to Ker Puja. This puja is dedicated to the local deity Kerr.
