US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) will be held at the White House on the occasion of the US 250th independence anniversary next year.
Trump said- There will be special events in honor of ‘America 250’ at all our national parks, war areas and historical sites. We will get the UFC fight in the White House ground.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt confirmed the scheme, saying that the President is very serious about it. A UFC spokesperson also confirmed that talks were going on with the White House.
According to CNN, Trump has an old relationship with UFC and its CEO Dana White. Trump hosted the UFC event in his Trump Taj Mahal Casino in 2001.
Trump has often appeared in UFC events in recent months. In June, he joined a fight in New Auroc, New Jersey. He became the first current President to attend the UFC match in Miami in April, where he also walked out with fighters.
