New Financial Rules from 1 July 2025: From 1 July 2025, 6 financial rules have changed. These changes will directly affect the pockets of the common people. Today the government has reduced the price of commercial cylinders by Rs 58.50. In these changes, Aadhaar is compulsory for making PAN, compulsory, SBI, HDFC and ICICI bank’s credit cards and ATM charges are going to increase. If you know these rules in advance, then you will not have trouble in the month of July.
Commercial cylinders prices reduced
On 1 July 2025, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has brought great relief to hotels, restaurants and small traders. The 19 kg cylinder in Delhi is now available for Rs 1,665, which was earlier Rs 1,723.50. Similarly, its price in Mumbai has come down from 1,674.50 to Rs 1,616. Kolkata and Chennai have also been cut by Rs 57 and 57.50 respectively. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG cylinder. Domestic cylinders are still available in Delhi for Rs 853, while in Mumbai, Rs 852.50, Lucknow is Rs 890.50 and in Patna, Rs 942.50 is intact.
Aadhaar is now required to make a new PAN card
Now if someone wants to make a new PAN card, then it will be mandatory for him to give Aadhaar number and get it verified. Through this new rule of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), it wants to improve the complexes and improve the digital system. Earlier, only identity cards and birth certificates were enough for PAN. Aadhaar was not needed to make a PAN card.
Last date for filing ITR extended
CBDT has extended the last date for filing income tax return (ITR) for FY 2024-25 from 31 July to 15 September 2025. This will provide relief to taxpayers and they will get a lot of time to avoid making hasty mistakes.
Change in SBI Card rules
From July 15, 2025, the method of calculations of minimum amount of SBI Credit Card (Minimum Amount DUE) will change. Now the entire GST, EMI, all charge, finance charge and overlimit amount will be added to 2% of the remaining amount. This may increase your bill slightly. Also, air accident insurance on SBI cards is also being discontinued. An insurance of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore will no longer be available on Elite, Mile Elite, Pulse and Prime Cards.
New charge on HDFC Credit Card
HDFC Bank will now charge an extra fee of 1% on some expenses. Gaming and wallet transactions are included more than Rs 10,000 monthly. 50,000 rupees will be charged to pay a consumer card and more than Rs 75,000 business card. Third party payment related to rent, fuel and education will also have to be paid. These transactions will be charged up to a maximum of Rs 4,999. The limit of reward points received on insurance premium has also been fixed.
AXIS Bank increased ATM Transaction Charge
Now Axis Bank will take Rs 23 per transaction instead of Rs 21 after free limit from its customers. This change will be applicable from July 1 and will be applicable to all customers. This will be applicable to both priority or burgundy customer.
