New Rules from 1 July 2025: Many major changes are going to be implemented from 1 July 2025, which will directly affect the pockets and everyday works of the common people. The rules of essential works like railway ticket booking, credit card payment, online wallet transaction and PAN card are now changing. Also, the railway is going to increase its fare. 1. Travel in railway will become expensive
Indian Railways is going to increase passenger fare from 1 July 2025. This is the first time after the Korona epidemic when the fares are increasing. The fare for non-AC coach will increase by 1 paise per kilometer and for AC class by 2 paise per kilometer. However, there will be no change in the fare of local and general second class for a distance of up to 500 km. There will be a slight increase of only 0.5 paise per kilometer on a second class journey of more than 500 kilometers. At the same time, the monthly season ticket (MST) will not be affected.
2. New way of booking railway tickets
If you often travel by train and book Tatkal tickets, this news is for you. From July 1, there will be a change in the process of Tatkal ticket booking. Now an OTP will be sent to your mobile while booking tickets from IRCTC website or app. Till the ticket booking will not be considered complete until you enter this OTP. This will improve the ticket booking system.
3. New charge on credit card and wallet
HDFC Bank has implemented some new charges for credit card users. Now if you spend more than Rs 10,000 a month on gaming apps like Dream11, MPL or Rummy Culture, then you will have to pay an additional fee of 1%. The same charge will also be levied on loading more than Rs 10,000 in wallets like Paytm, Mobikwik and Freecharge. Apart from this, if the payment of utility bill (electricity, water, gas etc.) is more than Rs 50,000, then this extra fee will also be charged there. At the same time, the card users will have to pay a fee of 1% even if the monthly spent on the fuel is more than Rs 15,000.
4. Effect on withdrawing money from ATM
ICICI Bank has changed the rules regarding ATM transactions. Now if ICICI customers withdraw more than 3 times a month from the ATM of another bank, then every additional financial transaction will be charged Rs 23 and non-finance will be charged Rs 8.50. This will increase the cost of ATM use.
5. Credit card bill payment new system
According to the new RBI rules, now all credit card bills can be paid only through the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS). This will affect platforms like PhonePe, Cred and Bildesk, as only 8 banks have introduced this facility on BBPS.
6. New rule related to PAN card
Now it has been made mandatory to give Aadhaar card to make a new PAN card. If you already have both PAN and Aadhaar, it is also necessary to link them. For this, time has been given till 31 December 2025. Penal or PAN card may be invalid if not linked on time.
7. LPG cylinder prices will be fixed
LPG cylinder prices are fixed on the first date of every month. Like every time, this time also the prices of domestic and commercial cylinders will be fixed on 1 July.
